First Baptist Church Three Rivers is a traditional, Christ-centered church located in the heart of our community. For us, church is more than a building — it is a place where people gather to worship, grow, and care for one another.

We believe Jesus is the answer to life’s greatest needs, and we are committed to faithfully teaching God’s Word while building relationships that feel like family. Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or are new to the area, there is a place for you here.

Our History & Beliefs

A Legacy of Faith Since 1913

First Baptist Church of Three Rivers, Texas was organized on November 9, 1913, with eleven charter members. The church first met in a little yellow schoolhouse across the street from the present Church of Christ. In August of 1921, the land where the church now stands was generously donated, and a new building was soon constructed.

Over the years, the church has grown and experienced many changes. Today, we are blessed with a modern facility and active Bible study ministries serving people of all ages. We remain a warm and welcoming fellowship committed to sharing Jesus and growing together in His grace.

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ—His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and personal return in power and glory.

We believe salvation comes by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
